Digital communities in culture, how to understand them
Conference | 21st December - 17:45 to 18:15

Wikipedia defines digital communities as “groups of individuals and institutions organized cybernetically around a range of specific interests, whose interactions, links, relationships and communications occur through the Net.” What does this mean in a sector where peer-to-peer relationships are configured as the fundamental axis that builds all conceptualization and development of public and private projects?

In this workshop we will talk about tools, subcultures, platforms, audiences, users… but, above all, we will talk about how the human being -as a social being by nature- has more than ever a universe of alternatives at his disposal that allows him to feel part of a collective and unique cultural imaginary at the same time.
