Marcos García Alonso

Marcos has a Law degree from the University of Oviedo and a Master’s in Cultural Management from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from the DIE Program of the European Union, and PMP®. During the last 15 years, he has worked as a cultural manager and consultant in the USA, Latin America, and Spain for institutions such as the Department of Cultural and Creative Industries of the Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Miami, AECID, the Government of the Principality of Asturias or the Fundación Siglo para el Turismo y las Artes de Castilla y León. He has been executive director of the Asturias Architecture Institute. In the private sector, he has developed strategies related to digital communities for platforms such as Patreon, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and TIDAL; companies such as We Are Era, Visa Inc, About You, Volvo, Royal Enfield, Inditex, or MagmaCultura; and cultural projects such as Centro Botín, ARTIUM, Centro Niemeyer, Fundación Kutxa, FIB Benicàssim or the Festival Interceltique de Lorient.
