The Ateneo de Innovación Digital y Democrática is a unique space in Barcelona: a new and experimental athenaeum-laboratory, open to the neighborhood, the city, and the world. A crossroads between digital culture, free technologies, digital rights, and democratic participation. Through this confluence, they work on diverse issues, such as feminism, human rights, social justice, diversity, urban model, or sustainability.
Its challenge is to bring digital culture and democratic innovation to the nearby territory and at the same time be a meeting place for organized communities, social projects, research centers, and citizens, who will decide in a participatory way what is the Canódromo. Their work focuses on open technologies, participatory democracy, and digital culture.
They also have projects in residence or with collaborators linked to areas of technology, science, and democracy.
The Canòdrom presents a space where diverse cultural agents can share their experiences and knowledge. They offer a network for innovative projects within the field of innovation, digital culture and citizen participation. 12 projects fall into this space as residents and collaborators; follow them here.
