The Virtual Syndicate of Mods

The Virtual Syndicate of Mods project is a virtual, i.e. non-existent, the association created to generate virtual spaces for discussion with video game players, inviting academic experts to confront in practice their theories on the crisis of labor. The Virtual Union of Mods traces the modes of cooperativism and social struggle in the current era of cognitive capitalism. It is a virtual association that seeks to collect and archive the symbolic and visual production of the gamer collective with the modifications (mods) made in video games, particularly those related to the working class, identity politics, and class struggle, and to address the crisis of unionism and cooperativism from the place of leisure and virtuality.
